FAQ

What type of carpet cleaning should I get?

–       One that cleans your type of carpet fibre

–       One that is affordable

–       One that uses chemicals that you are happy with for you and the environment

How much will it cost?

This depends on the company you use. Feel free to request a quote and we will send it to some local suppliers for you.

How soon can it be done?

If that is important to you then make sure you ask what time frame it can be done in your first contact.

Why should I have my carpets professionally cleaned?

Carpets and fabrics that are not properly cleaned and maintained have the potential to cause a variety of health problems. When you get professional carpet cleaning for your home, you improve the indoor air quality of your home or work environment. At the same time, you extend the product life of your carpet.

What is the difference between a spot and a stain?

A spot is a substance of food, grease, or dirt that has adhered to the carpet fibre but has not become set. Spots can be easily removed by a professional carpet cleaning service.  A stain, on the other hand, is more advanced and may have become set, requiring additional treatment.

What can I do to keep my carpets clean?

If you are wearing street shoes, use an entry mat to remove most of the dirt before entering the house. It’s better to remove your shoes upon entering. If you encounter spills and accidents on your carpet (either from pets or people), it’s best to treat these immediately.

How often should I clean my carpet?

People who are asthmatic or have allergies should have their carpets cleaned about every 3 to 6 months. Vacuuming alone will not solve your problem. Professional cleaning is the solution to killing dust mites, which is the number one cause of allergens found indoors.  It’s best to get a professional carpet cleaning about every 12 months or so.
